Katherine was a primary school teacher for 20 years, during that time she developed an interest in outdoor learning. Taking her class out to the woods regularly, kindling within them a love and appreciation of the outdoors, using the woods as their outdoor classroom! Having a few years out of teaching Katherine was a regular attendee of our Wild Tots groups with her daughter.

Now her daughter has started school she’s really enjoyed becoming part of the A Touch of the Wild team, helping to support the youngest children in Wild Tots and the older one’s at our Saturday Woodland Explorer Club.She has a passion for travel, having spent time teaching in a small school and living with a family in a remote part of rural Nepal.

At home you will often find her family outdoors hunting for sea glass and treasures on the beach or exploring the woods.
