Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and activities provided by A Touch of the Wild. By making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Securing Your Booking

Your booking is confirmed once:

  • We have received your completed booking.
  • Full payment has been received and cleared.

Once your booking has been confirmed, we’ll send you all the information you need for your visit.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

A Touch of the Wild reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel activities at any time where necessary.

If we need to cancel or postpone a session due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you wherever possible at least 24 hours in advance to discuss an alternative arrangement.

Some activities require a minimum number of participants to run. If this number is not reached, we may need to reschedule or cancel the activity.

Where a session is cancelled by A Touch of the Wild and an alternative date is not suitable, a refund will be issued.

Poor Weather

We embrace the outdoors and aim to run activities in all weather conditions.

However, in the event of unsafe weather conditions such as:

  • High winds
  • Severe storms
  • Extreme weather

activities may need to be postponed or cancelled.

Where possible, we will offer:

  • An alternative date, or

  • A participant is asked to leave due to behaviour that places themselves or others at risk.
  • A child, family or group is dissatisfied with the planned activities.

We will always listen to concerns and consider complaints on a case-by-case basis.

Photography & Promotional Consent

If you provide photo consent during the booking process, you give A Touch of the Wild permission to use photographs and video footage taken during activities for marketing and promotional purposes.

You can choose whether or not to provide this consent when making your booking.

Children with Additional Needs

We welcome children with additional needs wherever possible.

If your child normally receives support from a learning or support mentor, we require a suitably qualified support person to accompany them during A Touch of the Wild activities.

The support person must:

  • Hold appropriate qualifications or experience.
  • Hold a current DBS check.
  • Be arranged by the parent or guardian.

If we have not been informed of your child’s support needs before the session and appropriate support is unavailable, you may be asked to collect your child. This requirement is in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.

Health & Medical Information

Participants should ensure they are fit and well enough to take part in outdoor activities.

Parents and carers must provide accurate information about:

  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Dietary requirements
  • Any other relevant health information

This allows us to make appropriate arrangements before the activity.

Medical Emergency Consent

For Woodland Adventure Club and Birthday Parties where parents or carers are not present:

By completing your booking, you authorise appropriately trained A Touch of the Wild staff to administer emergency first aid if required.

Where necessary, you also authorise A Touch of the Wild to consent to emergency medical treatment, including examination, X-rays, anaesthetic, hospital treatment or other care recommended by qualified medical professionals.

We will always attempt to contact a parent or guardian as soon as reasonably possible.

In serious emergencies where immediate treatment is required, medical care may begin before contact has been made.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, we’d like the opportunity to put things right.
