What a wonderful week we had with our Wild Tots! 🍂 From sizzling up cheesy bean quesadillas over the campfire 🔥 to visiting the seed shop and choosing special tree seeds to grow at home (acorn or sweet chestnut 🌰) it was all about exploring, creating, and connecting with nature. At A Touch of the Wild, we love seeing little ones get creative in the woods, this time it was all about apples, worms and wild cooking! This curious Wildling used our apple turning machine to peel and slice apples, then turned the peel into “apple worms” (and yes, they had a little nibble too! 😄). 🍂 Wild Tots Autumn Adventures! 🍎🐛 Our Wi 🍂 Wild Tots Autumn Adventures! 🍎🐛 Our Wild Tots have had a wonder-filled few weeks exploring the forest and embracing the magic of autumn! 🌳✨ 👀 Two weeks ago, we became mini explorers, crafting our very own binoculars and heading off on an adventure walk to spot signs of the season. We discovered some truly amazing mushrooms 🍄 and even met a very hairy caterpillar, much to everyone’s excitement! 🔥 Around the campfire, we got stuck into baking delicious apples - a warm, sticky treat that filled the woods with autumn spice. 🍏 This week, our curious tots have been… 🍂 Cooking apple crumble over the fire (yes, it tasted as good as it sounds!) 🌰 Collecting and roasting sweet chestnuts, lots of cracking, giggling, and munching! 🌳 Learning all about conkers, we rolled them, drilled them, and turned them into beautiful necklaces to take home. 🍁 Plus, we explored the difference between horse chestnut and sweet chestnut trees, our little nature detectives are getting so clever!
