🪨 Stories, stones and a little woodland magic… Th 🪨 Stories, stones and a little woodland magic… This week at Wild Tots the children discovered hidden story stones and tree slices buried in the sawdust, using them to build their own imaginative woodland tales. We became rock collectors and artists, carefully transporting stones to create patterns and pictures on the forest floor. Before we could cook our campfire vegetable soup, the children had to go on a vegetable hunt around camp, searching high and low until every ingredient had been found! Once gathered, little hands helped chop and stir as the soup bubbled gently over the fire. We finished our session by bringing the story of Stone Soup to life together, acting it out with imagination, laughter and teamwork. Rainy days at Wild Tots are still full of magic ✨ Rainy days at Wild Tots are still full of magic ✨ This week our little explorers have been embracing the weather and getting stuck into real, hands-on woodland play. We’ve warmed up around the campfire by cooking porridge with apple, sultanas and a sprinkle of cinnamon. We’ve also been practicing our tool skills by making log people (using a bow saw to cut wood before adding fluffy beards, hair and lots of personality), and of course we’ve enjoyed plenty of splashing, jumping and playing in the rain.
