There’s only one thing better than a fire with friends and that’s good food, and fire and friends! Join A Touch of the Wild Director, Hannah Standen and experienced chef Stephanie Waters, to guide you through a day of fire skills and campfire cooking.
We’ll teach you how to build a fire from scratch, lighting it with just a spark, and importantly, how to maintain a consistent cooking heat.
You will be introduced to a range of different cooking techniques, including smoked foods over the campfire, an underground earth oven and experimenting with a variety of different cast iron pots to bake sweet treats. You’ll learn a range of our delicious and inventive campfire recipes to try out and take home.
Together we’ll create a scrumptious feast lunch for you to enjoy with other nibbles and refreshments throughout the day.
We prefer to keep these events small, so there are only 12 places available and therefore booking is essential. This event is 18+ only but we do run events for all the family so keep an eye on our events page for details. Just £55!
Disclaimer: Cooking on an open fire makes food taste incredible and A Touch of the Wild will not be held accountable for any newly refurbished kitchens going to waste in the event of course attendees insisting on cooking every meal over a fire in their garden.
