WE’RE RECRUITING!

We are looking for two new members of staff to join our fantastic team in Grammarcombe Woods (Nr Exeter).

We’re proud to be one of the leading forest school providers in the Exeter area and have over 15 years’ experience delivering high quality forest school programmes.

We are currently recruiting for a freelance Forest School Leader and a freelance Forest School Assistant who will deliver a range of Forest School sessions, with guidance/instruction from the Director. Client groups will include children’s birthday parties, family groups and possibly a Saturday club.

The positions will predominantly involve delivering themed birthday parties to suit the client. There are some plans already in place however staff are expected to be creative and inspiring to make the experience special for the child’s big day.

The Saturday Club will depend on numbers.  The leader will be expected to facilitate a 2 hour forest school session for a group of children aged 5+ who will book block sessions (term time), with support from the assistant.

Both candidates must be available most weekends from late March  – early November (including during the summer holidays).  There may be opportunity to gain further hours out of season as well as mid-week work at the toddler group and education groups.

You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and progression opportunities. As a not-for-profit organisation, A Touch of the Wild always puts the needs of the children first, meaning you will be working for a business that cares about more than just profit.

We very much welcome candidates that are looking to develop a career in forest school delivery. The ideal candidates will be passionate, motivated and enthusiastic about outdoor learning and creative play, with knowledge and experience of basic bushcraft skills.

Hours will be variable depending on bookings. The candidates would be required to work a minimum of 28 hours per month (weekends).  However this is likely to be significantly more, particularly during the peak season.
